60.00 kg, 132.28 lbs / bag
The Oromo people have been settled in the Guji zone for over 1000 years, and coffee has been a documented part of their culture for at least 500 years. The geography of Guji itself offers a diverse set of altitudes and microclimates in which coffee is produced. Recent decades have seen the loosening of restrictions by the Ethiopian government, allowing for the establishment of better washing stations across the region. Gaining altitude as you travel the highway south from Addis Ababa, you ‘ll see farms that range in size from 1 to 20 hectares, with many banana and mango trees growing alongside coffee trees, This lot comes from family farms in the Bule Hora Woreda of the Guji zone. Producing coffee on small 1-2 hectare plots is the primary source of income for many of these families. The post harvest processing of this coffee highlights the care taken byt the entire community at Dogo Sodu's processing station. This Grade 1 lot was a dream on the cupping table. Apricot and creamy berries round out to a rich caramel finish and a fruit juice body. Book yours now before we run out, because we are going to run out!
