Nicaragua- Finca Limoncillo - Washed

Anthem’s green buying team has been working with the Mierisch Family for over a decade. Erwin Sr., affectionately known as Doc Mierisch, and his children have greatly impacted the specialty coffee industry. From sharing genetic research on their Nicaragua “Java” varietal to assisting the Cup of Excellence, their family has single handedly changed the game on quality in Nicaragua. They maintain a tight chain of process and quality control on their coffees and farms from seed propagation to post harvest production at their dry mill, Don Esteban. Finca Limoncillo has been described as Erwin’s private coffee garden. It is his favorite farm amongst the families’ 10 other farms including the 2019 Honduran Cup of Excellence winning farm, Finca Santa Lucia. We always look forward to our shipment of Limoncillo Washed every year, and this year is no different with nougat and chocolate almonds that finish with a punchy acidity.
